In the aftermath of Mikey's marriage and the runup to Frank's in March 2008, rumour has it that Gerard is also engaged.
Which is all well and good, but something doesn't quite add up.
Proof?
Gerard has once said, and I quote, that marriage is "a piece of shit"... obviously people change and from that I can go on to what he said about his ex-girlfriend. I can't find the quote now but basically, Gerard had been in a six-year relationship (yes, from before the band was even formed - oldschool Gee ftw) but after writing the line "I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone", he realised that he didn't need her anymore or something to that effect, and he ended it.
Bit sudden, if that's true and not Gerard being mysterious, that he should be getting married to someone that he must have been with for about a year now (I don't really think he's the type to cheat, at all).
The ring Gerard has been wearing is one that he's claimed many times is a promise ring, his grandmothers ring, or a friendship ring.
Debate this matter all you want here. No hating on Gerard yeah, come on, either way the guy deserves love and all that gushy shit.
Personally, I see a Gerard/Bob marriage on the horizon. DIDN'T SEE THAT ONE COMING DID YOU HUH!?
Anyway, congrats Gerard! if it's true.
