1) The Black Parade is now available for the world over! Yeah, so go buy it if you haven't yet kids. I don't know but it would appear the only version around in the UK is the black (inverted) version of the album... but I saw the white version in London on Sunday, so I guess the colour you get purely depends on where you troop off to. However, both are the same. As for the limited edition copy... which includes a 64-page book including the story of the recording, artwork and track-by-track reviews by Frank and Ray (I think)... why oh why must my parents be so uptight about buying stuff online?
2) Credit to Vikki for this info - 2-10fm (local radio station for Reading and Hampshire and such not) have been playing 'Famous Last Words', introducing it as number uno on their Top 40 thing. So I suppose it's safe to say this will be the legendary next single... which is good news (it's my favourite off the record). The video is due to be aired early next year, apparently.
3) On the subject of the LE version of The Black Parade, I managed to scavenge myself some of the key details. Want them? You know you do. Bear with me, this is painful:
- Mikey Way (we assume) suffered depression and was in such a state that he was forced to leave the house in which the album was written for a long period of time to recover. The band took a break from writing to wait for him to return, as they didn't feel like a band without him.
- Ray kept staying up all night playing. I can picture that... can you?
- Frank refers to Gerard as somebody that's 'drunk off genius pills'. Cute much?
- Ray says that 'Woody Woodpecker somehow crept in' on the Dead! solo. Awww, Ray, he's educated on cartoon culture all right.
- Gerard is obsessed with Joan Of Arc... righteo.
I'm going to see if I can find a way of getting this... yayness.
Long live the black parade and whatnott.
