If you would like details about the new video for I Don't Love You, then read on. If you would like to find out for yourself, then I suggest pressing the little back button at the top of this page and occupying yourself with something else =]].
---------------------------------
Shot in black and white, I Don't Love You has a simple theme: a breakup. Mainly set in a field (although different scenes are included also) the couple relive the good times and then go through the bad. There are lots of shots of the band playing, Gerard with trademark black hair and looking like the reincarnation of Billy Corgan in the very first shot of him, when he looks up to stare into the camera. He has also returned to wearing eyeliner and black nail varnish for all those interested as well. There are lots of shots of the individual band members, Franks scorpion tattoo easily seen throughout the whole video.
Gee also gets a little solo section of singing on his own in the field mentioned.
While going through the breakup, there are lots of images of people falling. The man (who frequently looks suspiciously like Gerard in a ton of black body paint) ends the relationship and walks away. The woman (who looks like a distorted Marilyn Monroe) is left alone and it starts raining on her, but because the video is shot in black and white, the rain also kinda looks like blood. Kinda. She sheds a tear to signify the end of the relationship, and also the end of the video.
You can really feel the emotion in this song, and the video just enhances it. Gerard constantly looks like he's gunna cry (think Helena for mental images) and you can really relate to what's going on. With lots of exploding instruments and microphone-whirling-on-stand-via-cord near the end, I Don't Love You is a video different to all the rest.
If people want to experience all of this...
